Finding Your Voice: Learning About The Legislative Process

Finding Your Voice: A Look At The Legislative Process (And Pizza Party!)
How do ideas become laws? Who gets to make laws?
How does government decide what ideas become laws?

On Friday, Oct. 8th students will learn the answer to all those questions and more.  Sponsored by the National Conference of State Legislatures Back to School Program, students will meet in the cafeteria to learn about the legislative process through an interactive “Pizza Party Law” simulation.  Students will then have the opportunity to meet with an actual state representative to find out more about how legislation works.
Session 1 : 8:00 am – 9:55 am for K-2nd Grades
Session 2:  10:10 am – 12:00 pm for 3rd-6th Grades
Busses will pick up at the regularly scheduled morning time and will return at noon – Out of town students will need to stay for both session unless a parent arranges to pick them up.
We encourage parent volunteers, so if you are able to join in the fun, or if you have any questions please contact Angela Tourney @ 307-710-6218 or ATourney@crb2.k12.wy.us
